Volkswagen unveiled their contender in the electric car field at this year’s Paris Motor Show. The new I.D. electric concept is part of a new range of electric cars set to hit the streets in 2020. The I.D. stood out from its competitors boasting not only longer range, but also a better price tag. The I.D. is the same size as the Golf, and will be the first of VW’s electric cars. Volkswagen has designed a dedicated electric platform called MEB. The I.D. concept boasts adequate power along with
excellent range. It engine produces 167hp (125kw) and has a 250 to 373 mile per charge driving range. The DC fast charging system enables it to charge to up to 80 percent in 15 minutes. With a reasonable price tag of under 30k, the I.D. could become a common sight on the streets in the near future.
